Northstorm was washing himself looking over the camp. "I should be friendly to the cats in the clan. I could get some cats as my followers..." he thought to himself. He stopped washing and glared around the camp.

Stoneheart was grooming her fur after eating a squirrel. As she washed her shoulder in quick strokes, she noticed Northstorm's glaring eyes. Minding her own business for a while longer she made the black parts of her fur shine in the sun before finishing of. She turned her head casually, as if she was just looking around, to see if the dark tabby was looking at something specific. She didn't know what to think of him, someone not clan born and with suspicious eyes. But then again, Stormclan had been home to many menacing looking cats of no special significance. But there was work to be done, and she couldn't just sit around all day. She rose from her spot and walked over to the other warrior. "Hey, Northstorm! Fancy a hunt?"

His glare decreasing he looked at Stoneheart and shook himself. "I fancy." Getting up he stretched his powerful shoulder muscles. "would you like to lead or shall I?"Returning to a standing position he looked at her.

"You can if you wish," she purred. "Personally I just want to get something done." There was a playful and determinant tone in her voice. She shook her paws, one after the other, before tiptoeing towards the camp entrance before tuning back to look at Northstorm. "Come on then. Let's not let this nice day go to waste," she hurried him cheerfully. Her eagerness made her feel like a young apprentice, but she was itching to start hunting.

"Understandable," Northstorm soon followed her out into the forest. She was a bit cheerful for his taste, but it will have to do. "I think we should hunt in the middle of the territory." Making his way to the start of the hunting grounds. Northstorm jumped on a rock and sat down waiting for the cheerful she-cat. "You might want to hurry before leaf-bare hits." He teased and smiled.

"You call me slow?" Stoneheart said and pulled out her claws as a fake threat. "I'll show you how "slow" I am." She kicked the ground with her long legs and landed on the rock after a huge leap. "You'll only get the right to call me slow if you catch a squirrel before me," she told him in an almost flirty way. "Now where do you want to hunt first?"

Raising an 'eye brow' Northstorm thought. "Hmmm, I was thinking maybe by the river. Prey would likely be out getting a drink." Jumping off the rock and landing gracefully on the ground below. Looking back at her he smirked. "I take you on that offer." He then turned his gaze back to in front of him and continued walking.

"Right," she agreed, remaining alert to any sight, sound or sign of prey. There should be plenty of squirrels among the tall pines. It was just a matter of time before they would show themselves. Before long she noticed one blocking their path, but there was nothing to hide her if she tried to stalk it. "New plan," she whispered to Northstorm. "I'll sneak to the other side and drive it to you." Even if it would take some of her pride, feeding the clan was more important than a silly little bet. Carefully she stalked around the squirrel in a large circle. When she was perfectly lined up with Northstorm she sprang form her cover and drove the frightened animal his way, always herding it away from the trees.

Northstorm nodded to the idea. The bet can wait this once. He quickly got into cover and waited as his chance of the kill. He watched Stoneheart make her way to the squirrel, but then got his attention back to the prey. As Stoneheart scared the animal toward him he quickly popped out and attacked the squirrel with one swift bite to the neck. He quickly put dirt over it. "Nice work." He said still burring it.

Stoneheart watched the tom kill the squirrel. "Thank you, and nice kill," she replied. "Looks like I'm only half slow, since you killed it I mean." She had a jokingly, but somewhat serious, glint in her eye. "How about we forget the bet and just try to catch some more prey? That way we can avoid sore loosers." She gave him a little smile and started walking soundlessly over the thick cover of pine needles, ready stalk her prey as soon as it would appear.
