Northstorm looked up from the kill and nodded his thanks. "It seems that we share our speed." Seeing the joke and seriousness in her eyes. "Now this I can live with" he thought. " Yes, we can forget about this bet. I wouldn't want to hear you whine like a kit when I won." He smirked at her smile his pale yellow eyes meeting her eyes. He then picked up his pace to meet her's.

Stoneheart thought of Northstorm's original idea and started to trot towards the river. She could hear the sound of rushing water as they drew closer, and the fresh scent filled her nose. "Maybe-" She muttered, cutting herself short. Was it a good idea to show this to Northstorm? She decided it was after a second of thinking. "Try to keep up," she said. "I'll show you something cool!" Picking up the pace to a running speed she went straight for the river.

Northstorm's ears twitched. what was it? He then started running after her, keeping a few paces back so that he wouldn't run ahead of her so he wouldn't get lost as she made any unpredictable turns. he realized that she was taking him to the river. "What is so cool about the river?" He asked.

"I'll show you," she called over her shoulder. The river appeared through a line of bushes, but as she reached the bank she didn't stop. Instead she made a jump for the dark water, diving in head first. Her long tail was the last thing to disappear in the waves. The she-cat turned around, close to the rocky bottom, where she watched to glittering light from above for a few heartbeats before kicking her way up again. "So what do you think," she called while dog-paddling her way back to shore. "Pretty awesome, or what?" She crawled her way back on land, shaking her fur.

Northstorm blinked as the she cat didn't stop at the river, but jumped in. He didn't want to get soaked so he stopped awaiting the she cat's return. He didn't want to follow through the water. "Is this she cat crazy?!" He thought in amazement as he saw her tail vanish last. Then a moment later when she didn't return he decided to go in after her. He took a running start and then jumped and dived in. He saw that she was heading toward a bright light and followed. His head surfaced out of the water, just in time to hear, "pretty awesome, or what?" He dog paddled after her and got up on land. Shaking his fur and then all four legs then paws. "I'd go with 'or what' as in what is this place?" He looked around.

"Hey, I didn't know you could swim that well too! And here I though I had to help you. I practiced on my own, you see, and now I can swim just like a Moonclan cat. But of course I get cold faster without all that smelly fish." She looked around at the place. Small shiny crystals lined the wall of the hollow in the ground and sunlight shone through the canopy overhead. "This looks like a huge rock from the outside, but it's really my secret place. I found it the first time I tried diving." She sat down in a ray of sunlight, letting the warmth dry her fur. "I don't think anyone else knows it's here, and it's great to practice swimming in the entrance pool." She looked at Northstorm, sure that he had something to say about this place.

Northstorm sniffed around. "Yeah, well you know, I had practice with my life as a rogue." He turned his attention to the stones on the wall. They gleemed from the light of the sun. "This is a very nice place, it could be a good place to see if it goes anywhere across to other territory." He said out loud. He then turned his attention back to Stoneheart. "Have you explored it yet?" As he stared at her, her black fur was shining in the sunlight. She looked quite beautiful.

Stoneheart nodded as Northstorm spoke. He probably knew several things clan cats did not from his life as a rogue. "You know, I haven't explored much yet. Except the waterway in, that's the only exit," she said and pointed her tail the small cavern at the far end of the cove. "It forks into many paths right after the beginning, but I haven't gone far. Some of them are filled with water..." She shrugged at the though of drowning down in the dark tunnels. "We could try to explore some of the dry ones if you like," she offered.

Northstorm looked to where her tail had pointed. There were many tunnels, It would probably be wise to explore the dry areas first. "Lets explore the dry tunnels like you said." He nodded to Stoneheart and continued on to the begining of the tunnels. He stopped and waited as he looked back at Stoneheart. "Right so which ones are the dry ones?"

"Uhmm..." Stoneheart stopped to think for a moment. "There are three tunnels in the fork... the... right one is clear, the left one is flooded and the center one has some roots hanging from the ceiling... I think that's right. I've only checked them out once to make sure there were no foxes here." She padded to the entrance of the dark tunnel, poking her head inside to test the scents and confirm her words. "Want to take a look at the right one?" A feeling of excitement rushed through her at the thought of the dark place, but she hid most of it. She didn't want to Make Northstorm think she was acting like an apprentice.
