Dipperstar was pacing restlessly outside the camp entrance, his eyes scanning the enviroment. He couldn't wait any longer now. He turned around with a sharp movement and marched into camp and to the log. Not wasting any time, he lept up and stood tall, calling out to the clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here, but the fallen tree, for a clan meeting." The sound of his voice died down, letting the cats get time to gather before he started the actual meeting, getting straight to the point. "Mintblossom and Stormcloud has gone missing! I believe they went out for battle practice and have not returned since." He paused, looking at his clan. "If any of you know where they might be, please speak now, otherwise we must search for them as soon as possible. I will lead a patrol myself if necesarry." With those words he finished, giving the others a chance to speak.

Sootclaw peered from the small mouse he had been chewing on. It was a far cry from tasty, the lack of water had even affected the prey they thrived on at this point. His whiskers twitched as he licked his jaws swiftly, looking at each of his clan mates. Electricity buzzing weakly from his gaze he peered back up at Dipperstar, "I haven't saw them since when they headed off to battle practice! Where do you think they could've headed off to?" he asked loudly from the back of the other cats.

Dipperstar shook his head. "I don't know, but we should send out a search patrol as soon as possible." There was a possibility of Stormclan getting them. After all, the training field was pretty close to the border, but he hoped it was not the case. "Anyone who want to come with me should speak up now, and we'll set out imediately." He spoke with urgency in his voice, but there was no way he could let both their deputy and medicine cat dissapear without them trying to find them.

Sootclaw nodded and rose up on his paws. "Count me in. No reason not to try and go find out clan-mates. Besides there not just the medicine cat and deputy, they're friends to the all of us." he said his tail tip twitching. I wonder where they could have went off to, Stormclan already borders us..if Stormclan got them there may be a fight on us. Without the deputy and medicine cat though, a fight now would probably prove fatal.

"Exactly," Dipperstar agreed. "That's why we have to set out imediately. Sootclaw, and any other warrior who wants to come along, may meet me outside camp. We'll leave as soon as you're ready." With a flick of his tail, he dismissed the clan and lept down from the log. If it was Stormclan who had taken them, then Sunclan would have to expect a greater attack soon and he would want to know it if that was the case.

Sootclaw nodded, looking around at his other clan mates. Judging from there faces at least one or two more would come. "Stormclan..disgusting." he growled shaking his head at the worries of what could of happened to the two. Without another glance at his pondering clan mates he followed Dipperstar outside of the camp his tip curling slightly as he pondered on several scenarios.

Dipperstar looked at the sinking sun as he walked out of camp. "We'll start by the training ground and see what we find there," he commanded, taking the lead through the vast field of dry grass. He chose the fastest path to get there, waling in a straight line through the territory. Once they reached the dead field, he stopped. There were no signs of fighting, so but he picked up traces of Mintblossom and Stormcloud's scent. "They were here," he muttered, then turned and raised his voice. "We have to find out which way they went. Search for scents or tracks, or any kind of clue." That said, he started to search too, looking for tracks around the edges of the field.

Sootclaw nodded, padding behind his leader as he scented the dry air. He nodded at Dipperstar's command and set out sniffing at the dried earth. He caught a slight trace of Mintblossom and sneezed. He looked around for any sight of a hunt or clue to the whereabouts with nothing. He huffed and followed the scent before it weakened to where it was almost indescribable. He looked up to where the slightly muddy river-bank. "The scent got weaker the closer I got towards the river!" he called back to Dipperstar. He walked around the bank, catching small scents here and there.

Dipperstar raised his head as Sootclaw called. He hurried over to the river bank and sniffed the ground closely. His eyes narrowed more and more as he carried on. "It goes into the water and dissapears," he said. "Either the river must have gotten them," something he said with disbelief in his voice as he looked at the low water, "or.." His gaze wandered over the river and into Stormclan territory. "I'd want to talk to them, but if they don't have them, it'll be like asking for an attack. His head hung low as he was left without an answer.

Sootclaw shook his head in disbelief, "With the water trouble we've been having I don't think the river would be strong enough to haul them away.." he murmured as he followed Dipperstar's gaze to Stormclan. He watched silently as Dipperstar walked off, he turned his glare to the other side of the river. He kept the glare up, pinning any hatred toward the residences of that clan even though he knew nothing could be watching him from the other side. He finally gave up, and followed quietly behind Dipperstar, his pelt still bristled at the idea of Stormclan.
