Rainpath leaned on swiftheart as he helped her over the border and back into stormclan territory. She remembered the crow she caught and burried, but she didn't believe it was worth retrieving now. She sighed with relief as she saw the camp and they neared it. "Thankyou," she breathed, her voice still ruined and weak, " I probably would have died if you hadn't been there," she then stared guiltily down at her paws, her head still spinning with nasea, "I just wish I could have helped more."

Swiftheart rubbed his head against Rainpath's "You're welcome, and you were an amazing help! no one died in that battle so its at least a partial victory in that aspect." He noticed Herbfeather just outside the medicine cats den, he called out "Herbfeather! Rainpath needs medical attention!" He knew that Rainpath although conscious and responsive she wouldn't be out of the woods quite yet until she had a more thorough treatment.

rainpath nodded, glad to be taken care of. Once they were inside camp she was led to a comfortable nest in the medicine den. Her clanmates gave them inquisitive and horrified stares, but she was to tired to explain. The cobwebs seemed to be working by stopping the blood, but her wounds were deep, and she didn't know if she had ruptured something when northstorm had torn through her belly. She definately knew stoneheart had ripped through her veins and wind pipe, and she wondered with dismay if it would ever heal completely and her usual voice would return. She stared down at her now scar covered body, anger boiling beneath her pelt. Why had they attacked that apprentice in the first place? Why did they insist on starting fights. They're Power hungry, she thought shaking her head, even more ambitious than she was. Thinking about the two cats brought their possible presence to her attention. She gazed around frantically, checking if the traitorous warriors were there. She turned to swiftheart, "are they here?" She asked.

Swiftheart looked around, thank Starclan "No sign of them, and good riddance." his neck was starting to bleed more now it didn't bother him that much Northstorm's claws hadn't gone that deep into his neck.

Rainpath stared at the medicine cat's own wounds with concern. She saw him fighting in her dizzied state, and it was inevitable that he would avoid getting harmed. She glared down at her paws angrily, sinking her claws into the soft moss. She still couldn't believe she'd let them beat her so badly, and that swiftheart saved her neck from being snapped. She couldn't be more grateful that she was even still breathing, but she felt degraded. she'd been nothing but a burden on him through out that fight. She had to make it up to him some day. She stared at her surroundings, her eyes icey and hard, "where do you think they've gone?" she murmered, turning her head to look at him, "We can't have them running about the clans, causing more trouble."

Swiftheart thought for a minute "If they're still in the clan's they're probably in Moonclan, since Herbfeather's sister is deputy of sunclan and well they obviously can't go to featherclan." He walked over to Rainpath and pressed more cobwebs onto her wounds. "You'll probably be staying in here for awhile, after all the last thing we need is you getting an infection." He hurried back over to the herb store, not that many cobwebs left, he took as little as he could and he pressed it to his neck.

She nodded; the idea of staying there for a while was dreadful to her, but she didn't argue with the medicine cat. she stretched out in her nest, wincing at the sting in her wounds. She hoped northstorm and stoneheart would just leave the clans altogether, or better yet, get killed by a fox or badger or a gang of rogues. But if what swiftheart suspected was true, and they were headed for moonclan, only trouble could come from it. But on the bright side they had opted not to come back to stormclan. "Let them be moonclan's problem for a while," she growled to herself.

Swiftheart nodded in agreement "Yeah they can be someone else's problem," He sat down in the nest beside her. He knew Moonclan would no doubt buy into anything Northstorm or Stoneheart told them, plus what clan doesn't want two already trained warriors who know every fox-length of another clan's territory?

Rainpath smiled glad he agreed. She didn't like getting involved with the other clans, and if moonclan wanted them they could take responsibility for whatever trouble they brought with them. In fact, she had only helped featherclan then because northstorm and stoneheart were breaking the warrior code and becoming a threat to all of them. They nearly killed the two apprentices for no reason. But her stomach did churn a bit at the thought of her former clanmates in moonclan. They were already a large clan, and with two new members with an advantage over stormclan? Who would decline that offer? She shook her head, sighing then glanced up him with concerned eyes, "should we alert spicestar?" She asked.

"Yeah probably and Rainpelt too." He suddenly realized that without Northstorm and Stoneheart Stormclan now had just nine cats! The clan was now the smallest one in the whole forest. That was concerning to him, these cats would be willing to die for the clan in a heartbeat but all the other clans are so much larger. "Starclan save us." he thought "Please let more cats find their way into Stormclan ranks..."
