"Clan." Her loud voice boomed over the hill, her eyes shining with pride, and wariness. She looked over all of her loyal defendants of Featherclan. The issue was not grave at first but over time it would begin to pose a major threat to the safety of the clans.
"A fox is in our territory with offspring," she began. "They are growing." She paused again. "Soon they will be a threat, It is necessary we remove these foxes, StormClan has offered to aid us, should we accept this help?" She pondered the choices. "We may seem weak with help, but it'll definitely help us, however the other clans may grow wary of us, they may find we have become allies." She paused. "So, clan, what should we do?"

Leafpoppy shifted her gaze around from cat to cat, waiting for someone else to voice their opinion, but all that seemed to occur was the quiet humm as the cats murmured amongst themselves about the ordeal at hand. The small she-cat took a deep breath and piped up, raising her slightly high-pitched mew over the voices of the clan. "I would think the safer thing to do would be accept the help. Chasing these foxes out would be much safer in numbers." she let her sage colored eyes wander over to the leader and then around at her other clan members curiously waiting for a response of some kind.

Tigerheart heard his leader address the clan with a great and echoing voice. He sat some tail lenghts away from Amberstar. He wasn't saying anything because he was in deep thought. What to do? He wondered as his face became worried, and a little scared. He flicked his tail back and forth, just wondering about patrols, the safety of the clan and pretty much the safety of all four clans. He heard Leafpoppy shout out a response, and he shouted out another response. "We will probably have to make sure the camp is locked-down at all times, meaning apprentices need to stay here unless on a Hunting patrol for the foxes." He wondered if this made any sense.

Leafpoppy thought about this proposal for a moment, her furry ginger brow wrinkled with thought. Finally she gave up and mewed "what exactly do you mean by that Tigerheart? But do you or do you not agree we will need the help?" She looked toward the ground thinking of what happened to her last clan, still a bit sensitive with dangerous things. A chill ran down her spine as she remembered how many lives were taken and what had come from trying to fight of the darkclan alone. Surely that wouldn't happen with this clan too? She looked back up the hill to her leader and deputy awaiting an answer.

Tigerheart was taken back, he had never thought of help from other clans, and he didn't want help either. If featherclan was going to show off it was able to survive by its self and not be called kittypet-lovers, then they would seek no help. Tigerheart shook his head quickly, "If matters get worse after a few hunting patrols for the foxes, we might think of help. But at this time, I believe Featherclan can survive this horrible infestation by its self." He looked cautiously up at his leader, hoping not to upset her or anything. He thought that this plan was smart, and a wise desicion for the future.

Leafpoppy looked at her paws, her ears glued to her small head, anger burning in the depths of her green eyes. How does killing your clan for glory make your clan better?! she thought. "You would wouldn't you?" she muttered at an inaudible tone. Why did someone need to get hurt or die before we accepted the help? Maybe there was something she didn't understand...she would let herself believe that for now, after all the comforting thought allowed the pale sandy colored fur on her back flatten again.

"Thankyou Leafpoppy and Tigerheart for voicing your opinions," Amberstar with an understanding smile. "I think keeping the apprentices here for a while atleast is a good idea... atleast while we get everything figured out," she said looking at each and every feline crowded around the hill. "I think the risk of clan members dying is not a risk we can take, better safe than sorry," she spoke slowly, so every cat understood the decision was clear. "Though we may seem weak, I think the safety of our clan is more important, don't you agree?" she said waiting for the murmur of agreement from the cats before continuing. "If they believe we are weak, we shall have to show them we're strong after this," she said with a slow nod of her head. "but-- first, are there any other opinions or decision you think we should make? As on, what and when should we get rid of the foxes," she asked. Pausing she added, "Or, a reason why my decision may not be the right, I appreciate any of your opinions and won't be angry or anything," she said. This was a big choice and she wanted it to go smoothly.

Tigerheart nodded "Maybe we should send out a special patrol that asses the strenghts of the foxes and how old they are now, if we think we are no match for them we COULD seek help, but I really think our clan has the potential to chase out or kill the foxes." He licked his paw, drawing it over his ear as he thought quietly about patrols, missions for fox hunting and Featherclan seeking for help. He didn't like help, he had all the trust he could pour into his clan, and himself. He also didn't like to be seen as a kittypet lover, he did not enjoy them one bit, but secretly he enjoyed the white liquid they put out for them, as a apprentice he would sneak some and run away, but knowing his warrior code like a noble warrior he stopped that. He meowed his approval of Amberstar's theory, hopefully Featherclan would be seen this season as the strongest, and the clan on top of its game.

Leafpoppy nodded enjoying this idea more. "I'd volunteer to come along on the patrol" she mewed looking up at her leader and deputy on the hill. See? she thought, they know what they're talking about. She lifted a small ginger paw, lapping at her tiny white toes with her tongue and swiped it over her ear. She did love adventure, and it would be another chance to prove her loyalty to her clan as a new warrior. The small she-cat ruffled her pale ginger fur up against the cool evening breeze, and waited for a reply.

Silly warriors. Do they really understand? No, they don't. Most of these cats are younger, the newer generation. They don't know the paint, the suffering.... No. Best if I speak now.
Owltalon plodded forward from the medicine cat's den. Previously, just her head had been sticking out from the den, but now she lugged her entire body through the grass and out onto the dew-covered grass that covered the forest floor. It was still morning, and so the grass was damp with the night's mist. As Owltalon walked over the grass, she felt annoyed. The grass attached itself to her thick fur, weighing her down with unneeded water. Never the less, she wanted to speak.
"May I intrude? I know my place is in the den, but I couldn't help but wish to throw in my mouse tail on this issue.
"We have an issue of a fox. Not just a single fox, but four: A mother and three kits. Stormclan right now is weak. Their hold on territory was gained only be the support of Featherclan and Moonclan. Their leader is sickly, and the deputy is rather malicious. But they are also a prideful clan. They will hate to remain in debt to us.
"Asking them for help would not be an act of weakness, not if we phrase it correctly. After all, kits travel from the mother after they have grown. Who is not to say that it will strike Stormclan next? Who is to not say that we are putting the entire forest into our debt by removing four foxes? Not that the other clans will agree, but we are Featherclan.
"If you want my advice, simply send a small party over to Stormclan. Have it ask for warriors to help dispose of the fox problem. Point out that the foxes will grow, and probably move onto their territory. Point out that a joint attack on the foxes will most likely be the best and smoothest was to remove this problem."
With that she sat. Although she should probably get back to the den, she trusted Questpaw... Or, at least, she trusted her to hander whatever small injuries that a cat would trundle in with.
